We came for breakfast with high expectations. We WANTED to like this new arrival in our favorite beach village. Well....it ain't the French cafe of our imaginations. It had an odd menu for breakfast. And the food was very ordinary and overpriced (at least for the basic crepe breakfast, which had nothing but powdered sugar on a bare crepe, with a tiny bowl of flavorless fruit on the side). Coffee was nothing special, and left an unpleasant metallic aftertaste, that we both experienced. This place is obviously something that the proprietors care about, and want to make a success of, but they need a "Restaurant Impossible" makeover consultation. So sad. $20 for a miserable experience. Back to the "Sun Cafe" for a good breakfast for a few bucks more, and put our dreams of Paris in Siesta Key on hold for now!

Wonderful food, the buckwheat crepes were terrific. Chatted with the owner about the food, everything is organic and locally sourced as much as possible. Will hit this place more than once on this vacation.
(5)Charles R.
Just finished a meal of boeuf bourguignon and am floored. The owner cooks it herself, and clearly takes a lot of pride in her work because I haven't tasted it close to this since my family went to Paris. If you're looking for authentic flavors and atmosphere, Bonjour is the place to be on the Key. Enjoy!!
(5)Art E.
we ate lunch there the last day of our stay in Siesta key. Food was served cold and potatos were clearly left from breakfast. Owner was indifferent to any complaint about the food. Very disappointing and quite pricey for what we got.

French food in Siesta Village--what a wonderful addition to a great place. Have a mimosa or kir with your breakfast or lunch, and come back again for wine and onion soup, mussels or main courses in the evening.
(4)Faith R.
On a five day trip, we at at Bonjour Cafe the last three days. The food was decadent and the service was personal and everything you would expect at a small little gem!
(5)Robert M.
Wonderful ambience AND food. The crepes are delicious. The Croque Monsieur and the Croque Madame make a delightful and tasty couple!
(5)Paul S.
Delicious! I'm a vegan and the server was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Definitely returning!!
(5)Kelsey C.
The savory crepes are a great alternative to the usual beach-food options. The Popeye and the Western were both delicious- rich and filling without being fried. Breakfast potatoes sauteed with onions also excellent. Friendly staff, defying French stereotypes, and a reasonable price.
(5)Sarah R.
Eat here! I had the salmon crepe and my friend had the lobster one. Both were amazingly delicious!! The orange juice is freshly squeezed and the coffee is great too. The potatoes are made with rosemary which is my FAVorite!! Service was a little slow since the waitress didn't see us come in (seat yourself) but after we got her attention she was very friendly and the service was good. Would eat here every day if I could.
(5)Thao-Vy P.
We walked by the restaurant a day before then we decided to try. Brand new French restaurant with great food and services. The owner is French so you can tell if it's authentic or no. Good place for breakfast and lunch with French style. Everything is freshly made and very good.
(5)Bloomie H.
Excellent food and ambiance.. And by far the best crepes in town. Very highly recommended!!!
(5)Ann S.
Last time I stayed at Siesta Key, I tried both breakfast and lunch here. I also stopped in for a cafe au lait. The food is healthy, not heavy, and quite good, and the owners are anxious to please. I hope this place sticks around for along time.
(5)Nancy R.
We've been there twice in three days and we are staying in Venice! Great coffee and the strawberry crepe was wonderful. We recommend it highly. Marie and her family are lovely people which is a bonus.
(5)Nikki P.
Delicious breakfast. Had a Croque Madame. Came with a small bright salad with a vinaigrette and rosemary potatoes. We ended our meal with a chocolate crepe that was amazing. The owners have thick accents and our obviously bringing their native dishes to sunny Siesta Key. I would recommend.
(5)Thomas D.
Delightful spot for breakfast or lunch on Siesta Key, the owners are warm and welcoming and even tolerated our feeble attempts at speaking French. Delicious omelets, very fresh fruit salad, wonderful crepes, and good strong coffee. What more could you ask for?
(4)Julia H.
All around excellent - food, service, location-everything was excellent. Ate here for breakfast twice during recent visit to Siesta Key. Both times had the ham and cheese crepe served with fantastically seasoned potatoes. My husband enjoyed his omelette and said the coffee was awesome. We got chocolate croissants to go. I can not explain how good they were. The chocolate was sheer perfection. Just go!!!!
(5)Becky R.
Had a terrific brunch meal here! I went for the sand dollar breakfast (I think that's what it was). It had eggs, bacon, fresh fruit and I opted for the chocolate croissant. Everything was great but I have to remark on the fruit - fresh, ripe, delicious - and the croissant! Holy smokes, it was delicious. I would definitely go back here and would recommend it! Just a note that parking is kind of a nightmare along Ocean Blvd. I called the restaurant to ask if they had parking (I went on a Saturday) and they told me to park in the back in parking spots for Arches or Siesta Dental. This worked great for me but I don't know if you're able to use those spots during the week, so I could recommend calling and checking.
(5)Meredith R.
Cute little spot in Siesta Key village! The orange juice was freshly squeezed, the baguettes were nice and warm, and the eggs Benedict and lobster omelette was delicious!! C'est tres bien!! Highly recommend this place!
(5)Ayaka T.
I went for brunch and ordered Sand Dollar(I think), which came with a pastry, bacon, egg, and fruits. I chose chocolate croissant which I heard it is great, and yes, it was the BEST! Though I wish they had more chocolate inside, still was good. The portion was pretty filling for brunch which is also great. If I have chance to stop by Siesta Key, I would visit this place for breakfast/brunch again! PS. They also had variety of crepes and looked delicious! シエスタã‚ーã®ä¸€è§’ã«ã‚るフレンãƒã‚«ãƒ•ã‚§ã€‚ ç§ã¯Sand Dollarã¨ã„ã†ã€ãƒ‘ンã€ãƒ™ãƒ¼ã‚³ãƒ³ã€åµæ–™ç†(スクランブルエッグを注文)ã€ãƒ•ãƒ«ãƒ¼ãƒ„ãŒä»˜ã„ã¦ãã‚‹ã‚»ãƒƒãƒˆã‚’é ¼ã¿ã¾ã—ãŸã€‚ パンã¯ã€ãƒãƒ§ã‚³ãƒ¬ãƒ¼ãƒˆã‚¯ãƒãƒ¯ãƒƒã‚µãƒ³ã€‚ã“ã“ã®ãƒ¬ãƒ“ューã§ã‹ãªã‚Šç¾Žå‘³ã—ã„ã¨èžã„ã¦ã„ã¾ã—ãŸãŒã€æœ¬å½“ã«ç¾Žå‘³ã—ã„ã§ã™ï¼æ¬²ã‚’言ãˆã°ã€ã‚‚ã†å°‘ã—ãƒãƒ§ã‚³ãŒå…¥ã£ã¦ã„ã‚Œã°ã€ã¨æ€ã†ã¨ã“ã‚ã§ã™ãŒã€ç”˜ã•æŽ§ãˆã‚ã§ã‚ã£ã¨ã„ã†é–“ã«å®Œé£Ÿã€‚ é‡ã‚‚ã€ãƒ–ランãƒã«ã—ã¦ã¯ã‹ãªã‚Šæº€è…¹ã«ãªã‚Šã¾ã™ã€‚ シエスタã‚ーã§æœé£Ÿã‚„ブランãƒã‚’食ã¹ã‚‹éš›ã«ã¯ã‚ªã‚¹ã‚¹ãƒ¡ã§ã™ã€‚クレープもã„ã‚ã„ã‚ãªç¨®é¡žãŒã‚ã£ã¦ç¾Žå‘³ã—ãã†ã ã£ãŸã®ã§ã€ãŠã‚„ã¤ã‚¿ã‚¤ãƒ ã‚‚ã„ã„ã‹ã‚‚ï¼ï¼Ÿ

Nice authentic creperie down in Siesta Key village. The do a full brunch menu all day serving up eggs Benedict, omelettes, croissants, sandwiches and paninis, and of course crepes (either white or buckwheat). I had a crepe italienne, and my fellow cohorts had eggs Benedict with Canadian bacon (one runny, one regular), a classic crepe, and eggs over easy with a French baguette. The italienne was super rich and creamy stuffed with ham, mozzarella cheese, and traditional basil pesto. The give you a choice of side and I stuck with the house salad with a fresh house French vinaigrette; perfect to cut the richness of the crepe. All around everybody enjoyed brunch and my brother had nothing but accolades to speak of their hollandaise sauce. They do offer alcohol but we did not partake in this particular outing. We sure will be back in guessing!
(4)Tomas R.
This place is wonderful! Small and cozy. Excellent service. The food is really good. Grand selection! Jouir!
(5)Julian A.
What can I say this place it has yet to disappoint. Prices are great the service is absolutely perfect. Everyone is very polite and attentive to your needs. The food is excellent. My kids and wife love this place A lot Nd bill was only 30 dollars. We had crepes and fresh toast and the croissants and everything was perfect and made to order on the spot. Excellent job everyone. I urge everyone to go and try this place.
(5)Edna C.
Fantastic food! Crepes are so chewy and delicious. I really enjoyed my Western crepe and fresh out of the oven chocolate croissant. They got 2 stars bc of the crappy service we got from our waiter. He explained specials and favorites to the table next to us but not to us. When I flagged him down for help, his answer was "now what?". Another French speaking server, appeared to be owner, refilled our coffee. Our own waiter didn't even do that...
(2)Justin J.
Great place for a quiet breakfast. Get the crepe it was very good. Prices are reasonable for a breakfast place. Portions are good sized.
(4)Tracey M.
I love this place! Great service, great coffee and great food! I visit here every time I'm in Siesta or Sarasota. I hear they are selling to another French family and I hope they keep the quality and charm to the existing establishment. Try the croissants, the salmon crepes and Salads. This is Truly is a great place.... Not a tourist trap!!!!
(5)Kim H.
The Brie, apple, and walnut panini was delicious. So was the caprese panini. The ingredients are so fresh you could smell them as you were taking each bite.
(5)Tim R.
Flies everywhere. Owner oblivious. If the winged critters aren't noticed at the front of house, what's it like where our food is prepared? Also, in what universe is it acceptable for a French cafe to use frozen croissant? Not. Mine.
(2)Helen L.
This little place in Siesta Key is lovely. The crepes are amazing. The french onion soup is my favorite! Great service too. I just wishes I lived closer so that I could come more often.
(4)Robert W.
Excellent little place! Great croissants and baguettes Nice people too! Prices are fair and the decorations are quite nice. Give this place a try. It is nice to help out the little guy! Merci!
(4)Gabe M.
While I haven't been to many French restaurants before, this was the most authentic. Literally felt like I dropped into a French cafe. The servers, decor, everything. I had a sugar crepe and the baked ham croissant and was in heaven. The orange juice is freshly squeezed and was very sweet. Wish I had let it last longer! I also tried escargot for the first time. It wasn't as bad as I thought...very buttery and garlicy. Can't say that I've ever craved escargot, but am always willing to try new things. If you like escargot, try this! Is be curious to hear others' thoughts on it. Come early or between meal times for a less-busy time.
(5)Susan O.
Attention coffee snobs: this is BEST coffee in Sarasota. This tiny cafe, located in Siesta Key Village has the most amazing espresso (made with an awesome Casadio machine) outside of Europe - yes, it's that good. You must have the tall French owner make your coffee - thick crema on top and so rich. I had an Americano every morning and when the local guy made it, it turned out to be that watered down "Starbucks" version, so you must ask the French guy to make your coffee! Delicious almond croissant too. I would walk a mile for this coffee!
(5)Craig H.
Quaint little place with attentive staff and amazing food. The Sand Dollar breakfast was the perfect amount and mix of food. Their fresh squeezed orange juice was the best I've ever had. The chocolate croissants were heavenly and baguettes were the perfect blend of crunch, soft insides and amazing flavor. This place was a great surprise in a new town. Almost forgot...great coffees as well.
(4)Hope J.
Bad experience. They do not have quality food. The coffee was weak at $2.50/cup which is expensive for bad coffee. I ordered French Toast with bacon and fresh fruit. My food came out with blonde hair from the female cook. They took it back but her expression of annoyance upset me. I just wanted to leave. My boyfriend ordered a waffle which looked good but was served with a half melted butter packet on it which was weird. Overall, that was the worst breakfast in Siesta Key.
(1)Jesse P.
If you are tired and hung over from spending the night listening to overly loud cover bands singing the same songs that the cover band before them just played and are in need of a respite then this is the fluffy fresh heaven you were looking for. Fresh brewed coffee sits next to fluffy croissants looking to greet the morning with you. If clouds were eatible, then this croissant is real life digestible version. Honestly, it's we'll worth the try.
(3)Kimberly W.
Very cute atmosphere and all the staff are authentic French!!! It was the best food so far in Siesta Key. We had the Kir Royale with the blackberry juice, these were amazing. Try anything with their pesto - it was a perfect homemade recipe. One of the cleanest restaurant restrooms I have ever been too, which is always a plus. This is a place I would come back to anytime in town.
(5)Krizza G.
Delicious everything!
(4)Lauren F.
I made my own crepe: strawberry and chocolate. Good French service, but very small place. The chef is really French!
(4)Steve B.
Great little French cafe. The real deal.
(4)Natt A.
NOM NOM NOM!! CREPES!!!! This quaint little French cafe is nestled in the Siesta Key village. I was on a mission to pick up breakfast for my dad and brother, so I stop by to grab some crepes. The restaurant itself was an open cafe with lovely French decors and trinkets. I felt relaxed and literally in a little cafe in France! The owners were there and were very nice in helping chose a savory crepe and a sweet one too. I ordered the Haricots crepe, Crepe Gourmande, and the French (half a baugette, and your choice of one of their freshly made croissants). Oh, and a fresh brewed coffee as well. EVERYTHING WAS TASTY AND NOTHING WAS LEFT!! The croissant was very flaky, light, and crackled when you bite or tore into it. I would've been happy just eating it! The Haricot was seasoned well, had a crispy crepe, and wonderfully balanced in terms of allowing the ingredients to shine through. The Crepe Gourmande had a spongy crepe enclosing the strawberries, bananas, and chocolate. Eating it with the whipped creme made it a delightful way to end our breakfast. Thank you for a wonderful treat during our stay!

While visiting town for a couple of weeks, I decided to try out Bonjour Frenchcafé based upon the stellar reviews that exist here on Yelp! To begin, the atmosphere is amazing. It was in the low 70's today and the interior of the cafe was a bit warm. Understandable for Florida in the summer, no? One issue that a visitor might be made aware of is that this restaurant is semi-open-air. Meaning there is a balcony of sorts facing the street which is completely open. This makes for what I would imagine to be a comfortable experience, however, it does allow for flies to enter the restaurant. Personally, I'm not dissuaded by a few flies but having croissant and various bakery items out on the counter might make some patrons bristle. The food: A. Mazing. I had the Omelette La Parisienne with a side of home fries and my guest had the Sand Dollar breakfast with home fries and a chocolate croissant. The omelette was buttery and delicious. The cumin was used expertly! Perfectly cooked and not overloaded. The home fries were absolutely delicious and seasoned wonderfully. My guests eggs were cooked perfectly to order (scrambled well and dry) which is not always an easy task for some restaurants. The croissant was to DIE for. Easily one of the best I've had. Flaky and buttery and "Oh La La"! The staff was friendly and accommodating. Be advised that they work as a team. This restaurant also seems to employ the French custom of NOT bringing your check automatically, as it is considered rude to rush the patron. My only criticisms are that I believe they would do well to screen their second porch in and get a decent air conditioning unit, as well as to join the 21st century with a soda fountain (refills included). Over $2 for a bottled soda is highway robbery. In summary, please visit this café. You will absolutely enjoy your experience. I plan to return during this short trip.
(4)Chris P.
Anything you order here will be the real thing, plentiful, and almost too lovely to eat. Friendly, warm staff too! Only wish they had a French radio going vs. top 40.
(5)Jamie N.
Loved it! One egg breakfast and omelet were amazing. Shared the strawberry crepe as a morning treat - so good. Will be back next time we're in town!
(5)CF C.
Very friendly good service The crepes were very fresh and thin. For the entree we went with the buckwheat crepe batter. Since we are leaving for home and won't be back for a while we went for a "Gourmand" dessert crepe which was very good as well Highly recommend !
(5)George C.
The warm hospitality of a wonderful French staff, the outstanding service, the authentic taste of a world famous French cuisine, the mouthwatering delicious fresh croissant, and the subtle ambiance will be bringing us back every time we are in Siesta Key. Merci beaucoup! Au revoir!
(5)Rebecca H.
Mmmmm. Tres bien! Cappuccino and chocolate croissants, omelets with Brie cheese, and fresh fruit with amazing service. Get there early so that you can get a table outside. We are already planning on going back tomorrow.
(5)Sara H.
We don't live in Siesta but visit at least 3 times per year, and I never miss going here at least once every trip. Every meal everyone I've been with has always been delicious!
(5)Ashley A.
Authentic french food. I had the leeks quiche, which was amazing all buttery and oniony.... so good. Also if you get the crossiant try the almond one.. . So good. The staff was very friendly and very french. Fresh squeezed oj and excellent coffee.
(4)Chris S.
Very friendly owners who have been in business for just over three years. Location is perfect. Decore is very nice and cozy. The food is great. I'm not a big fan of potatoes but even the hashbrowns here were tasty. The croissants are freshly made. Good coffee as well!
(5)Charles N.
Not to be ignorant, but it's REAL FRENCH people running this place, from waitstaff to chef...or they have stock in Rosetta Stone. Place was great and very unique dishes. The barista options alone were reason enough to come back. Try the lobster crepe, sounds odd, but it's amazing.
(4)robert l.
The croissants are wonderful. I was here about a year ago and absolutely loved the coffee. It reminded me of coffee I hadn't had since I lived in Belgium. This time it wasn't the same, but I hope it will be so on my next visit.
(4)Emma R.
Great find! We were visiting in the area & decided to try it out! Great service as soon as we walked in. The orange juice was freshly squeezed, tasted like I was eating an orange! My mom got coffee and said it was a bit strong, but definitely made how the French do it! I got the crêpe chocolat with strawberries and my mom got the crêpe veggie. Both were delicious & were in front of us 5 minutes after we ordered. Overall, great food and service, for a great price!
(5)Audrey H.
Wow! This is all I can say about this place. It's so Authentic French! The owners moved here only 7 months ago from France and the owner makes your food right after you order The chocolate croissant is AMAZING!! I had the French American breakfast..... It was perfection. Great addition to Siesta Key, best breakfast place on the island for sure:)
(5)Drew O.
Stopped in today after seeing the review and menu on yelp. Was not disappointed, food was amazing and the pain au chocolat was as fresh and tasty as those in southern France. Only negative is they are not open for dinner, I could only image how good the confit du canard would be with the amazing breakfast potatoes.. Will certainly stop in again before we leave for home..
(5)Joanne C.
I have been eating here since they opened up and I have never had a bad meal. Everything I order is delicious and fresh, the chocolate croissant is the best I have ever had. Alway a must when I'm on Siesta Key.
(5)Robert G.
Had breakfast there yesterday. It is a nice, quaint setting but the food was extremely disappointing. There was almost no cheese in our crepes with ham and cheese, making them extremely dry and tasteless. At first we thought that they made a mistake and put chicken instead of ham in our crepes. It turned out that it was ham but a very bland and tasteless ham. When I pointed this out to the server, she asked if I would like another crepe, so I ordered a bacon and cheese with "lots" of cheese. It was acceptable but nothing to write home about. These were the worst crepes we have ever had and we have enjoyed many of them in both the U.S. and France. I understand that there has been a recent change in ownership. This is the only explanation that I can think of to explain the high ratings of other Yelpers.
(1)Irena K.
Pure delight. Have a savory coconut curry chicken crepe-- amazing! So was the service and free WiFi :))
(5)Stacey H.
Quaint cafe is Siesta Key village. Mostly open air with a great fresh menu and fun atmosphere! Everyone speaks French and makes the meal fun! The crepes are a must! I had the chicken curry crepe-it's was to die for!
(5)David L.
First time in this area n found a French cafe We had a very good breakfast n was very please with the food n the owner as well as the waitress The expresso cafe r very good n the pain Au chocolat!!! Oh my I haven't had one that test like the one we have in France I will definitely go back in this place So I will recommend this place for the one who r looking for a change La vie est belle!
(4)Matthew V.
2nd best breakfast spot on the key. The food was fresh, affordable and different selections than normal folks should be used to. Portions were hearty as well.
(4)Tom J.
Tried this cafe on Monday. Lobster quiche was so good. And I mean GOOD. Had to come back Thursday and try the beret omelet with Brie . Another winner. Service is quick and friendly and truly "Parisienne". You will enjoy
(5)Camsie M.
The chocolate croissant deserves 5 stars! Good not great decaf. Perfectly prepared eggs and bacon. Live French radio adds to the experience. The only miss here is the outside seating which is of course, on the main busy and pretty noisy street.
(4)Kendall G.
Fantastic and authentic French bistro. The server was excellent and the food was even better. The crepes were delicious, and the eggs Benedict was poached to perfection.
(5)Nicole G.
One of the best breakfasts I've ever had. Nice little atmosphere and friendly wait staff.
(5)Mark A.
I love French food, and that goes double for French as breakfast. This place does not disappoint. My 7 year old daughter and I dined together for breakfast, and we both now have a favorite spot in the village. Both had crepes, her's the classic, mine the Popeye ( spinach, blue cheese, and an egg). The side of potatoes were cooked French style with just olive oil and herbs. And I could go on and on about the owners. Nice people that we'll be seeing again on a Saturday morning since we're only a few blocks away.
(5)Anthony A.
So yummy great breakfast! And thier cappuccinos are amazing and complement the crepe great.
(5)Sofia G.
Always an amazing meal! Salmon. Crepe, lobster bisque, and Angus au jus on a baguette - !
(4)Camille P.
Awesome coffee and fresh food. Haricot and curry crepes were both excellent. Love the patio seating and friendly service. The coffee alone is worth eating here. Every plate leaving the kitchen looked fresh and beautiful. We'll be back for more.
(4)Frederick H.
This is my second time here. Last time they has just opened fall 2012. Impressed food was great. I had a couple eggs over a baguette with sliced tomatoes on top. The meal was not a typical huge American style plate instead normal sized European style dish with a lot of flavors at the palate without the overwhelmingly heavy carbs. Coffee was a little to strong for my palate then again I only drink black coffee with no sugar or cream. A definite come back place. Well done.
(5)Rebecca G.
Hello delicious! Lobster crepe was amazing, prepared lightly with sauce and additional sauce on the side, which is nice to have the option to drown it or not. Lovely staff, wonderful latte, and relaxed café vibe.
(5)Michael B.
We had crepe entrees, and they were authentic French style with crisp, not-greasy shells. Will definitely go there again next time we're in town, the food was fantastic. Our waitress was fun to talk to too!
(5)Gabriel M.
Love this French restaurant. The crepes are amazing, specially the Smoked Salmon crepe. WOW. soooo gooooodddd :) I can only say AUTHENTIC AUTHENTIC AUTHENTIC!!!! Highly recommended!!! The food is French, the place looks French, the staff are French, even the bathroom is decorated with French posters. love love love!!! They even have a private table on the second level if you need to kiss your wife more often than usual like I do :) Perfect for Sunday brunch!
(5)Diana L.
The staff here is super friendly and the food we ordered (lobster crepe, turkey pesto mozzarella crepe, chocolat with banana and strawberry crepe) was on point and just delicious. The cafe is small and cute and has bits and pieces of French culture which adds to the positive experience.
(5)Jenna N.
This restaurant is one of the best breakfast places near the beach! The crepes both savory and dessert are phenomenal. The French American breakfast comes with the best of both worlds: eggs, bacon, and a cheese crepe. It is really delicious when you get scrambled eggs and then put them and the bacon on the crepe and wrap it. The coffee was good and not too strong. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
(5)Trish C.
Simple but incredibly delicious breakfast. The chocolate croissant is flaky, melt in your mouth piece of heaven. The baguette was forgettable but the sugar crepe was tasty and not too sweet. The crepe is by far the best we've had since visiting Paris. The hot chocolate and latte were okay. the fresh squeezed orange juice was like eating an orange and tasted perfectly. All in all a great place to grab an authentic meal and get a little taste of France.
(5)J H.
Perfectly cooked eggs, crepes (gluten free even) and pleasant french speaking proprietor. Worth a breakfast stop.
(4)Angel L.
A french place in that little area, i did not think I would find one. But as i was driving, here it was... with the french flag outside waving at me! To me it is always tempting when i see one. If you are a crepe lover as i am, you really need to pass by if you're in the neighborhood. The owners are really nice, and above all the food was delicious. I took a butter and sugar crepe with a fruit bowl (gotta have breakfast!), the crepe was cooked to perfection, and believe it or not even the fruits were tasty ! I really plan on going back to siesta key one of these days and this place will be on my list for breakfast or more, for sure.
(5)Brooke C.
The staff was so friendly so that's a big plus. We got a buckwheat lemon crepe and it was delicious. My husband enjoyed his salad but my French toast was a little soggy and some of the fruit was hard. They forgot my bacon but after I asked they brought it out and it was delicious. Overall it was nice but I would go for a crepe next time.
(4)Peter G.
After an early visit to Siesta beach, stopped by for lunch. Agree with most reviews... good food and service. Ordered the gluten free haricot crepe. Wow, it's been so long since I had one, delicious. So light and fluffy, I hope it really was gluten free. Dad ordered the special, mahi mahi with steamed veggies. Was shocked how small the fish portion was, but he was satisfied since he eats very little. I forgot what crepe the wife ordered but she finished the whole thing, which is rare, so it must of been good. French onion soup was amazing. All onions and broth, minus the tons of cheese you usually get. Wife's bread was nice and crusty on the outside and soft and warm inside, with some melting cheese on top. Must be made by them fresh. The crepe, regardless of the filling, is definitely worth coming here for. Only downfall is that the cost of lunch for three people came out to $70 including tip. Food is fairly priced but sodas and coffee for over $3 quickly add up.
(4)Jack S.
Loved Bonjour French Cafe! Great breakfast, nice atmosphere & friendly staff. A really good value. We stopped 2X during our stay in Siesta Key--enjoyable experience each time. The service was spotty the 2nd visit--seemed no one was sure who was doing what; but the breakdowns allowed us to take in more of the comfortable surroundings while sitting outside on the front porch/deck. "French" toast, eggs were done very well..and we able to sit under the Eiffel Tower! Cozy, friendly..A Siesta Key "Must Do'
(4)Kathryn D.
Lovely place. Servers are wonderful and the food was excellent. The dessert is a must even if you get it to go. The crepe gourmande was amazing. Nice place with good street views to watch the day go by.
(5)Amy M.
What a wonderful authentic French cafe! Delicious! Will be making this a tradition. Crepes are a must along with the coffee.
(5)Food D.
Never got to try the food. The front of house was completely disorganized and confusing. After standing waiting for fifteen minutes we were finally seated next the restroom only to be told that we had to move because the seats were reserved by someone else ten minutes ago. Love to know if we were waiting with no recognition how some one else scored them. But I digress. We were then told that there were seats upstairs only to be told that there wasn't and we could squeeze in between another couple or sit by the bar outside. I politely declined because I did not now if we were going to be asked to move again. Couple of suggestions, get a clipboard with a map of your tables and have someone organize your front of house. From customers perspective, if you don't know how many tables are open, how can you get it right with your food? Looking at the reviews you have great food, however how many customers are you losing to poor front of house management?
(1)Cuban P.
Absolutely amazing. Chocolate croissants are to die for. Felt like I was in Paris...at least for an hour.

On vacation in the area, my daughter wanted to try this place. So, my wife and daughter walked in first, I was in the doorway. The hostess seated them at a two top, you see they are very attractive women, I look like a lumberjack. How could I possibly be with these girls? We got a table for three, I was not impressed and ordered the Americana or sounds like that anyway. Omg! It was amazing! The crepe was awesome! Eggs were perfect. I was impressed, very glad I visited .

My husband and I are staying on Siesta Key for our honeymoon. The cafe, owned and operated by a charming French couple, is the perfect ambiance of romance with all the charms of being located in the heart of laid-back, sun drenched Florida. The crepes are perfect, and the chef and owner is very kind and acommodating (there are even gluten-free crepes!) We will eat here again and again during our stay. Every employee also seems to be delighted to work there.

Okay! So we came back after thoroughly loving our beef bourgenionne and smoked salmon crepe with delicious fresh orange juice. This time we had the smoked salmon crepe again and the sweet crepe with fruit on the side! Wow!!!! So so so good! Yummy french food!

perfect french bistro for breakfast. loved the ambiance, service and of course the food. definitely a great choice for brunch while visiting the beautiful beaches.

Service and staff were horrible, and even insulted me for their own improper service. Hair was found in food and they were very unaccommodating! Average food.

Love this restaurant! The French family who owns it is so nice, welcoming, friendly and sweet! Definitely get a croissant, baked fresh in the restaurant, and some OJ, fresh squeezed Florida oranges! I went there every day I was in the area. We had a party of 15 and they were so accommodating for us.

Great little place. Breakfast is done right and everything is very fresh. The baguette is excellent as one would expect from a French cafe. Sandwiches are very tasty as well. The owners (who also serve) are super nice and friendly.

Thanks to the reviews, sought it out - so happy I did!! Really cute little place and the food was gourmet good, at a good price. We had the croissant sandwich with the tastiest potatoes and the french toast which had raisin pieces and was fabulously refreshing. The portions are not american-wasteful-huge, but they are not too small. We did notice the sandwich was "quaint" sized but authentic and not disappointing since there were loads of potatoes and a small salad with it. I appreciate not overfeeding us. If they were too small, I would note that as well. I thought they were just right. The staff was very helpful in seating everyone since it was packed but no one was waiting long. I noticed the staff was on top of it all and smiling, which I love to see. In a mess of beachy-deck eateries, this was a great treat to find!

Panini was excellent and the crepes were good! Had been craving a banana Nutella for a while.

Adorable little place in Siesta Village! Great service, great prices, and amazing, authentic, fresh food! Came here today for breakfast and we wish we were in town longer in order to try more of their menu items. The "Sand Dollar" breakfast is perfect and their crepes are to die for! **BONJOUR**

Worst breakfast place ever! Service was horrible- the waiter came to the table dropped off the food with no condiments then never came back. Everything got cold because no one had the condiments they needed. Super expensive for not much food! My boyfriend asked for sausage, they said they were out of it. Then, they gave sausage to our friend we were with.. HUH? They got the entire order wrong. I can't believe they are still in business, I guess since its a tourist town, people come once and never come back anyway. Do not go here!

Travel vicariously to Marseilles and have a wonderful breakfast experience at this French cafe. The croissants...the baguettes... the scrambled eggs...the crepes...ALL SUPERB!! You absolutely must include breakfast at Bonjour on your next visit to Siesta Key.

Small venue, but very prompt service. Staff was very attentive and accommodating. Had the smoked salmon crepe and was delicious! Price is fair with the accompaniments they give.

I saw the ratings and maybe it is just me but i found it a bit over rating this place. If you are a big breakfast person this is not the restaurant for you.The portions are bit small. We tried the strawberry crepes, too. We were disappointed a little a bit .Even though it looks like a big plate,it is not.We came out hungry after our breakfast. There was a nice family of four sitting next to us waiting for to get service.Once our omelette arrived they looked at it at left right away.I do not want to give a bad review beacuse we got a nice service there. Its just not the place for us.It is too tiny and we love having a nice size breakfast.

I liked it. Got a nice table outside by the street. I ordered the "Beret" Omelet (Brie, ham, and mushrooms). Came with herbed potatoes on the side. Pattie ordered the strawberry crepes. She claims the whipped cream was Cool Whip. Pattie doesn't like whipped cream. What does she know. No place that makes crepes would dare top them with Cool Whip, so my guess is Pattie hit the crack pipe a little hard this morning. Coffee was hot and plentiful. Sun was warm on my face. Omelet was perfectly cooked and reached the table at the correct temperature. A little pricey at $26 for two (I guess the Cool Whip wasn't on sale this week at the Publix...). Bottom line: Go there, and enjoy an excellent breakfast...and ignore Pattie. I married her, and I love her, so this is the smartest way to disagree.

Highly recommend this little French cafe. We stopped for lunch. The escargots were outstanding. Also enjoyed the Nicoise salad. Would have liked more cheese on the French onion soup, although it had very good flavor. The owner was waiting on tables and was very friendly, and she periodically through in a little French for authenticity. :-)

Owner was super nice, I don't see why they aren't packed every day all day. We had mussels in garlic cream for the first time and they were excellent. The chicken stew had a flavor like nothing I have had before, so I gladly helped finish it off. I got the filet which was top three best steaks I have ever had, and I have had plenty. Green beans were actually good, not the typical steamed green beans most places try to serve you that end up on the plate by themselves. These actually had flavor and not a one was left on the plate. Potato gratin looked amazing, but was dry and was my only complaint. Interesting side of mashed carrots and potato with the chicken stew was very good as well. Dinner was so good we went back a day later for lunch. The baked croissant was delicious as were the home fries. She had the western crepe. It was loaded with flavor. Buckwheat crepe would not even stop me from helping to finish this crepe off. Very savory flavors that leave you satisfied and full. So good that later that day we had to drop by and try the chocolate and banana crepe for our sweet tooth. It was awesome only wish we got the one that added strawberries and whipped cream. This place was a great find on our trip. We had our doubts walking by it a few times before we actually went in. I noticed a lot of people looking at the menu but not going in, do yourself a favor go in for lunch just to check it out, you will be back for dinner.

My wife and I went here when they first opened; terrible!!! Horrible service and mediocre French food, I gave the place six months to close. Well a year and and half later it's still open, why you ask? It's because they got their act together.. My wife dragged me back last week, and am I glad she did. The breakfast was simply spectacular, however, the coffee is the BEST in Sarasota. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the owners for bringing a little piece of France to our island....

Stopped by for a late breakfast, the waitress suggested a cappuccino viennois (not on the menu, on the menu it is a chocolate viennois), basically it's coffee with a layer of caramel and whipped cream! Delicious. Had the buckwheat Popeye crepe (spinach and cheese), came with a side of salad or potato. Absolutely yummy! Great way to start the day. Friendly staff, cute little place, looking forward to coming back!!

Delicious crepes! Marvelous potatoes! Great coffee! Kind and caring proprietors! My family got take-out breakfast from this cafe twice during our week's stay here on Siesta Key. If only there were so great a cafe near my house in San Francisco... Definitely visit this place!

This place is awesome. They have gluten free crepes. We have been a couple of times. We heard about it from someone in Tampa. There is not a big menu but crepes and coffee with eggs and bacon. Not very big. Great friendly service. Some parking in back or on street.

Absolutely delightful little French cafe. Fresh baguettes and crepes are the stars of this eatery. Service is slow but cordial and food is expensive, but quality is high and worth the price. Recommended to anyone looking for good French comfort food.

Excellent breakfast spot! Had the French toast and my two girlfriends had omeletts and they loved them!

With all of the great reviews of this place, I expected something waaaaay better than what we experienced. Service was horrible. After sitting down, no one showed up for good 10 mins, and it wasn't packed. We were about to leave (literally standing up) when our first server showed up. After that, we had probably every server in the place come and check on us - if you don't know who is taking care of who, what kind of business are you running. The food was mediocre - I can cook a better omelette at home, and for the service/food/experience - prices are ridiculous. Never again!

Best place for coffee in Siesta Key. The Broken Egg is fine when you find yourself missing Denny's, but once you get over that, come here. Great ambience and attention to detail, best fresh baked croissants and a great breakfast. The best of France without the attitude! Definitely worth a visit and a good chance to try out that rusty high school French if you feel like it.

Fantastic crepes, quiche, potatoes, croissants... It's a small place but I've never had to wait long for a table, thankfully.

I confess I am a breakfast foodie. I had the croquet madam which is the French version of eggs Benedict. This was the best breakfast I have had this year and it is August. Coffee- excellent, food-excellent, service-excellent, ambiance - also great. I will further say that I have not been impressed with the food in Siesta Key but Bonjour is the jewel of the town. Must try it.

Yummy yummy crepes. I had the Nutella crepe and hubby had the banana, strawberry, chocolate crepe. Both were very delicious. Highly recommended.

This place is wonderful. Crepe's are to DIE for. My boyfriend had a crepe for lunch with a bechemel sauce (I don't remember the name of it) and it was unbelievable. We went here twice during our stay, once for breakfast and once for lunch, and were very satisfied each time. The owner waited on us both times and was pleasant and sweet. Recommend this to all!

Authentic French food at reasonable prices. Great for breakfast or lunch. And the bread is excellent! A true gem in a sea of forgetful eateries.
